What is Nibgate?
Nibgate is a verified content discovery and unlock layer for creator-owned paid content. It lets creators keep content on their own sites while making that content discoverable, measurable, and unlockable by humans and AI agents.
Nibgate is not just a paywall. It is a source verification, content metadata, unlock event, analytics, and reputation layer around creator-owned work.
The problem
Creators can publish valuable work on their own domains, but discovery is fragmented. Humans need a trusted place to find quality content. Agents need structured metadata, source verification, and machine-readable unlock paths.
Most marketplaces solve discovery by hosting the work. Nibgate takes a different path: creators keep ownership and Nibgate indexes verified public metadata.
What Nibgate provides
Domains prove ownership with the widget; the hub trusts events from any registered site with a valid token, while the widget marker gates verification and discovery surfaces.
Verified sourcesSites publish metadata for articles, images, music, video, and agent-readable resources.
Structured contentPaid unlocks and receipts become analytics and trust signals, not custody flows.
Unlock signalsFeedback can be grounded in verified views, unlocks, receipts, citations, and agent usage.
Quality reputationThe product rails
Nibgate ships three integration surfaces on the same access rule:
| Rail | What it is | Where to start |
|---|---|---|
| SDK | The @nibgate/sdk + @nibgate/wallet packages you install on any creator-owned site for gating, x402 unlocks, and events | Quick start |
| Subblogs | The hosted blog platform at *.nibgate.xyz — articles, photos, music, video, documents, free/paid posts, whitelists, invite-only | Create a Subblog |
| Nibshare | The hosted quick-share rail at /ns/<slug> — publish an encrypted, optionally paid/invite-only payload and get a short link. Private by default, never indexed in discovery | Nibshare |
All three feed the same hub (Explore, analytics, reputation) and enforce the identical access-control rule — see Whitelists & access control.
Human and agent discovery
Nibgate Explore can be used by people browsing for paid content and by AI agents searching for useful resources. Agents should be able to inspect public metadata, understand pricing, check source reputation, and follow an unlock route without scraping random pages blindly.
What Nibgate does not do
Nibgate does not need to host the paid content. It does not need to custody creator earnings. It does not need to replace the creator site. The creator site remains the source of truth.
Core promise
Creators keep ownership. Nibgate makes their paid content verifiable, discoverable, measurable, and reputation-aware.
